The second Weiland Road/Prairie Road Neighborhood Meeting originally scheduled for May 19 has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, June 9, in the Buffalo Grove council chambers at 50 Raupp Blvd. Inclement weather and road closures for railroad crossing repairs have hampered the completion of additional pedestrian and traffic studies in time for the original meeting date.

The objectives are to present results of additional traffic signal warrant investigations at locations identified by residents; present results of pedestrian crossing studies at locations identified by residents; present revisions to the scope of the proposed improvements; present results of connector road alternative analysis, including advantages/disadvantages and relative impacts; present information on regional planning and travel demand forecasting for Weiland

Road/Prairie Road; present the influence of railroad and school operations on project design and to seek public input and comments.

Representatives from the village, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning and the consultant staff will be available to discuss the project and to answer questions.

For more information, contact Gregory Boysen, director of public works for the village at (847) 459-2547 or gboysen@vbg.org.
