Annual car giveaway at District 127:
Two lucky seniors each will win a car Friday morning at graduation practices at Grayslake North and Central high schools. Rockenbach Chevrolet is the longtime sponsor of the giveaway. Officials said as of Friday, 78 students at North and 91 pupils at Central were eligible for the drawings. In order to be a qualifier, a student must have a minimum 3.0 grade-point average, no truant absences, maintain a 90 percent attendance record, be involved in a co-curricular or extracurricular activity and have no discipline consequences. Both buildings are part of Grayslake High School District 127.
