Slaughter bashes Bloomington

The Chicago Slaughter defeated the Bloomington Extreme 42-16 before 4,697 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates on Saturday night.

Linebacker Lenny Radtke had a huge game for the Slaughter (8-3). His block led to a Dan DuFrene rushing touchdown in the third quarter. He also had 2 interceptions, 8 tackles, and he recovered a blocked kick for a touchdown.

Slaughter place-kicker Chris Nendick booted 5 field goals.

The win might prove costly, as Slaughter quarterback Ben Sankey was injured early in the fourth quarter and did not return. Anthony Kropp took over and ran for a touchdown.

The Slaughter travels to meet the Omaha Beef on Saturday, as they take on the Omaha Beef. Omaha edged the Slaughter 39-36 earlier this season at the Sears Centre.
