Derby showed merits of capitalism

I had the pleasure of watching the pre-Kentucky Derby interviews with the different trainers, jockeys and owners. It was a perfect example of capitalism and competition, which is what our nation is all about and what has made us the greatest nation in the history of the world in the shortest period of time.

It was simply wonderful listening to these individuals whether they were jockeys, trainers or owners. They all wanted to be winners, which is what has made America great.

If the Kentucky Derby was held elsewhere, depending upon the philosophy of the Democratic Party, there would be a tie of all the horses so no one could claim they were better. All major league athletic teams would also end in ties. As a result, there would be no reason to have competition, since it wouldn’t result in a winner. Ultimately, no one would try to be a winner and our country will decline into mediocrity like the rest of the socialistic world.
