Water main break closes Elgin's McLean Blvd.

Motorists in Elgin are being asked to avoid North McLean Boulevard early Thursday due to a water main break.

North McLean has been closed in both directions between Maple Lane and Larkin Avenue, officials said Thursday. In addition, Larkin has been closed at Westin Drive.

Officials have estimated those roads will remain closed through the morning, at least through the morning rush hour.
