Pools getting ready to open

The Parks and Recreation Departments in Villa Park are getting the pools ready for the season. Are you ready?

Pool passes are on sale and the Early Bird discount continues through June 4.

Pool passes for residents age 3-59 are $39 and seniors age 60 and up are $34.

The passes go up to $50 and $45 after June 4th. Please note that there is not an early bird discount for non-residents.

The non-resident rate is $70 for ages 3-59 and $45 for seniors age 60 and up.

If you have previously purchased a photo pass you just need to complete a renewal application and bring your old pass(es) to the Iowa Community Center,338 N. Iowa or the Community Recreation Building, 320 E. Wildwood, to get your 2011 sticker.

Lost passes will be replaced for an additional $7 each. Passes aren't valid for the season without a current sticker. Jefferson Pool, 341 N. Harvard, opens for the season June 4 (closing Aug. 23) and Lufkin Pool, 1000 S. Ardmore, will open June 11 (closing Sept. 5). Pools are open noon- 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, and noon to 7 p.m. weekends.
