South Elgin routs East Aurora

Sara Irving went 4-for-4 with a home run and 4 RBI and freshman Taylor Rees threw a 5-hitter as South Elgin’s softball team rolled over East Aurora 18-2 in an Upstate Eight Conference game played in Aurora Wednesday.

Brittany Rogalla was 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI for the Storm, as every South Elgin starter except one had at least 1 hit. Victoria Watt and Brittany Koss each added a double to the cause.

Rees struck out five, walked one and allowed just 1 earned run in picking up the win for the Storm (17-12, 9-7).
