Coach handled taunting well
Thank you for the front page article on racial taunting recently in the Herald. Larkin coach Elizabeth Bravo should be commended on her exceptionally poised handling of the incident involving her team being racially harassed by their opponents. She went back to the basics that I am trying to teach my little 3- and 4-year-olds when other kids are being mean: Ask politely for the harassing to stop and if it doesn’t, walk away from the situation. Bravo is a fine role model for all students and coaches, from the wee little ones just learning the games in kindergarten all the way through high school.
