New Naperville 5K a hit with moms
Those mothers sure can run.
Nearly 500 women raced in the “Run Like a Mother” 5K Sunday at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, a Mother’s Day event that encourages moms to make their health a priority.
A popular race in other states, this was the first time the women-only run was held in Illinois. It might have been an even bigger race had organizers not capped the number at 500.
The event was such a hit, that organizers say it’s likely to be held again next year in Naperville.
Perfect weather helped with the great turnout, as did the kids race where all of the participants received ribbons, and a live broadcast from 103.5 KISS FM.
