'Champion' legislators honored by Chamber of Commerce
Illinois Chamber of Commerce officials announced Friday this year's recipients of their “Champions of Free Enterprise” Awards for the 2010-11 legislative session. To be considered for this award, a legislator must maintain an 85 percent record of voting with what the Illinois Chamber considers to be its top legislative priorities in Springfield. The priorities, job creation and a stable tax environment, are in line with the goals financial experts say will lead to job creation and increased employment in Illinois. Suburban state senate award winners include Pamela Althoff and Chris Lauzen. Suburban House award winners include Ed Sullivan, Mark Beaubien, Tom Cross, JoAnn Osmond and Mike Tryon.
