Justice prevails

Osama bin Laden has been brought to justice by U.S. Navy Seals. Outstanding! Within hours of the announcement, the internal politics have already begun as to who should get credit and who is to blame. I would like to suggest that for a day or two, our nation step back from politics and focus on the fact that after 10 years, justice has prevailed and those Americans that died and their families can take comfort in the fact that Osama bin Laden will not harm any more Americans.

We should all celebrate in a positive way.

Congrats to our brave men and women in uniform for a job well done! But let’s also remember the reality that we all face. Bin Laden was just the head of an enormous and hateful global army of radical Muslims that is dedicated to murdering those people that do not share their horrendous beliefs. The global war on terror will continue and may intensify as a result of bin Ladin’s death.

The fact that Bin Laden was living in an enormous and luxurious compound in the suburbs of Islamabad Pakistan in plain site of the Pakistani government says it all. Even though we gave them billions of dollars as an ally in our war on Islamic terrorism, Pakistan protected and hid bin Laden. We learned of Bin Ladin’s death on May 1, the same day the world learned of the death of Adolf Hitler. The similarities between these two monsters are obvious and the fact that we learned of their deaths on the same day may confirm the fact that there is such a thing as cosmic justice!
