Disposing of body happened too soon
On Sunday, the Navy bravely engaged a group of terrorists, killing several in their safe house. Unfortunately this action created a naysayer’s dream. Burying the body at sea is going to open a controversy greater then the birth certificate issue was the body Osama’s? Already there are three options circulated on the Internet: it was Osama and he was buried at sea, it was not Osama who was killed, Osama was killed and the body is being held for testing.
There is no way to be sure that Osama was killed. The deceased could have been a look-alike. DNA samples could have been taken, but there is nothing to compare the DNA to. The government does not have a sample of Osama’s blood, and they were unsuccessful in obtaining a standard from a relative several years ago to have on file. Disposing of the body so quickly after the incident was uncalled for. The body could have been disposed of at a later date in any manner seen fit.
Body or no body is not going to eliminate the potential of an Osama shrine. The president with his lengthy news conference was more of a political statement than a news release.
