Sign up for the Prairie Pedal
Spend time with family and friends while appreciating the beautiful natural areas and farmland of Lake County by participating in the 15th annual Prairie Pedal on Sunday, May 15. The day includes well-stocked rest stops with bird-watching stations, nature education, a gourmet lunch, music, massages, a raffle, and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. There are 4-, 9-, 12- and 27-mile routes to choose from so all levels of riders can join the fun. Casey and Almond roads are closed to through traffic for the scenic ride. Riders can start between 8:30 and 11 a.m. Check-in and ride start at the Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Grayslake Campus, 1475 E. Belvidere Road (Route 120), Grayslake. Cost is $20 for adults ($25 after May 7), $10 for ages 6-17 ($15 after May 7) and free for children under 6. Walk-up registration welcome.
