Des Plaines Chamber fun fair May 14

The Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Spring Fun Fair will be held Saturday, May 14 at the Juno Lighting parking lot at Algonquin and Wolf roads. The fair has an abundance of municipal and business trucks for children to explore 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; a community garage sale, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; car seat safety checks; bike registration; mini health fair; Pooch, Pet & Peddle Parade; kite fly; rock climbing wall and fishing. Participating businesses and organizations are: Accurate Auto Clinic; Borgic Remodeling; Braun Catastrophe Services; Des Plaines Elementary District 62; Des Plaines EMA; Des Plaines fire, police and public works departments; Maine Township Highway Department; Schimka Auto Inc.; Shred First Inc.; and Two Men and a Truck.
