We need regular count of war casualties
Why do we no longer list casualties and deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan?
In previous wars, we gave a daily account, e.g. Vietnam. When Bush was president, it seemed we gave almost daily accounts. Now there is nothing.
If it were not for 1st Lt. Mark Spartz’s article April 8, we would be under the impression there are no casualties.
I feel this is the responsibility of journalism. Because our soldiers are all volunteers, I feel we have a greater responsibility to place greater emphasis on our losses. If there were a draft, the public would demand it on the front page.
