Corporate tax breaks are obscene

It must feel great on tax day if you know you are getting a huge refund, but for those of us who must pay, it’s a different story.

Now imagine waiting in line at the post office to get your taxes in before the deadline, while in the back of your mind you are thinking about where your money will be going. Education? Defense? Medicaid?

Multinational corporations are all celebrating, because they not only pay zero taxes, but receive obscene refunds!

Exxon Mobil made $19 billion in profits but only received $156 million in a rebate.

Bank of America only received a $1.9 billion dollar refund despite making $4.4 billion in profits. Oh yeah, after they took a trillion dollars in bailout money.

Over five years, GE only made $26 billion in profits. But at least they got $4.1 billion in refunds!

And let’s not forget Citigroup. They paid zero dollars in federal taxes after receiving $2.5 trillion dollars in bailout money from the Fed.

Now how do you feel about mailing in your tax check?
