Tree planting at District 95
Lake Zurich Middle School South’s student council on Friday will plant three, 15-foot autumn blaze maple trees donated by The Atrium of Lake Zurich and four trees donated by the Palatine Home Depot. The school is part of Lake Zurich Unit District 95. The tree-planting is part of a larger garden project designed by the middle school student council to create a hands-on outdoor classroom. The council’s goal is to link with a local food pantry to donate produce for those in need. Two students volunteered their lunch time for several weeks in order to complete a watercolor painting reflecting the project.
