Rock out in Palatine and help provide YMCA scholarships

The Buehler YMCA will host the benefit concert Rock Night 5 featuring the band Bucket Number 6 at Durty Nellie’s, 180 N. Smith St., Palatine, at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 28.

The concert will raise money for Buehler’s scholarship campaign, which provides financial assistance to children, adults and families who cannot afford a YMCA membership or participate in YMCA programs. All Rock Night 5 ticket sales go directly to Buehler’s scholarship fund, while Durty Nellie’s will donate 10 percent of participants’ dinner tabs to the Y. Tickets are $10.

The show is from 6 to 9:45 p.m. When the band is on break, members of Buehler’s Group Groove and Zumba classes will demonstrate their routines. Rock Night 5 will culminate the annual scholarship fund drive, Y the Hoopla, which kicked off in March.

The “Win a Free Buehler YMCA Membership Raffle” will take place during intermission. Raffle tickets, which are not included in Rock Night 5 admission, are $10 for one, or $25 for three, and can be purchased at the Buehler YMCA.

If you don’t get a chance to purchase your tickets in advance at the Buehler YMCA, tickets will be $15 at the door.

Free baby-sitting will be available at the Buehler YMCA until 9:30 p.m. Children must be at least 2½ years old and potty trained. For information regarding Rock Night 5 or Buehler YMCA’s scholarship campaign, contact Anne Springer at (847) 410-5215.
