Night life events: Flatlander's hosts Mid Life Crisis

You gotta love band names, and Mid Life Crisis is a pretty funny one. Hear their upbeat rock from the 1970s, '80s and '90s Saturday at Flatlander's in Lincolnshire. There is a $7 cover, but wine by the bottle is half-priced all night. You can get all sorts of beers on tap as well.

New in Wheeling

The Gable Room Bar and Grill at Wheeling's Chevy Chase Country Club has launched a new menu, offering beer-broiled brats and a vegetable sandwich among other items. In addition, starting this week, the bar will feature daily specials — both food and drinks. And check out the signature Bacon Bloody Mary garnished with a slice of bacon and celery stick for $6.50.

Hurray for Hefeweizen!

Hefeweizen, a popular warm-weather beer, returns in May to Emmett's. Hefeweizens are known for their aroma, cloudy appearance and a refreshing boost of carbonation. Emmett's also features all-you-can-eat Alaskan king crab legs throughout May. They're served with roasted garlic drawn butter, baked potato and vegetables for $32.99.
