Don’t lose skill of cursive writing

Some modern teachers have decided that children don’t have to learn how to write anymore, they want to eliminate cursive writing in school. This is not a good idea.

The skill of writing has developed from its earliest form in the year 1200 B.C. to today. Why do modern teachers think that this hard-learned skill should be lost?

I wrote this editorial on a piece of paper, long hand, before it was put on the computer. I was able to do this because of the educators who taught the skill of cursive writing to me and other students when I was younger. Computers are an aide, nothing more, not the end-all communication/learning device.

The skill of writing should be kept in our schools.
