Palatine approves PNC Bank near Mariano’s site

The Palatine village council this week approved plans to build a PNC Bank in the same development as the Mariano’s grocery store and the Palatine police headquarters currently under construction at Hicks and Baldwin roads.

A second parcel may be developed for retail use in the future, but the developer agreed to keep that portion of the property a parking lot for at least a year to be sure there are ample spaces.

All three buildings will have similar facades, according to the proposal.
