Cougars game postponed to Wednesday

Tuesday afternoon’s game at Elfstrom Stadium between the Kane County Cougars and Burlington Bees was postponed by rain before it ever began. It will be made up Wednesday as part of doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games, with Game 1 starting at noon.

The Cougars (5-7) won the series opener on Monday night, 4-3, over Burlington (8-3) as the teams played through 40-degree temperatures.

The pitching matchup for Tuesday was scheduled to have Leondy Perez face Josh Bowman, and those two are expected to start Game 1 on Wednesday. Nick Wooley is scheduled to pitch against A.J. Griffin in Game 2.

The Cougars are in the middle of a six-game homestand, as Clinton comes to Elfstrom Stadium on Thursday night.
