Chicago Sky to hold practices at suburban gym

Chicago's WNBA team is heading to the suburbs to practice.

The team will be practicing at the renovated Sachs Recreation Center in the northern Chicago suburb of Deerfield. They formerly practiced at a Chicago facility.

The team says the Deerfield facility, which had been known as the Deerfield Multiplex, was once used by the Chicago Bulls.

Sky President Adam Fox says the move to a new facility is about player development and will be a place where players and coaches can train and watch game films.

The women's basketball team opens its season in June. Their home court is the Allstate Arena in Rosemont.
