Derailment delays CTA el trains
CHICAGO (AP) — Authorities in Chicago say a minor derailment is delaying trains on three lines on the city's North Side. No injuries have been reported.
The Chicago Transit Authority's website says service on the Brown, Red and Purple lines has been suspended between Fullerton to Southport/Addison due to mechanical problems.
Police say one Brown line car derailed just before 9 a.m. Thirteen people were on the train. Shuttle buses have been transporting passengers.
