Caroline Kennedy coming to Oak Brook, Skokie

Caroline Kennedy will visit Oak Brook and Skokie this week on her current book tour, reading poetry from “She Walks in Beauty,” her new anthology about the milestones in a woman's life.

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, Kennedy will be at Borders, 1500 16th St., Oak Brook; she will be at the Barnes and Noble at Old Orchard in Skokie at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20. At both places she will read from the book and sign copies.

In Skokie, free numbered line tickets will be distributed beginning at 4 p.m. on Wednesday to Barnes and Noble customers with Kennedy's new book, and their proof of purchase.

According to advance publicity, the book “tells the story of a woman's life including first love and lasting love; marriage, motherhood, and work; times of silence and solitude, and times of awe.”

Kennedy writes the introductions to each of the book's sections. She will sign only copies of the book, and no personalized inscriptions will be done.
