Ninety percent of life is showing up
From March 30 to April 5, 487 people from 57 different local faith communities came out to pray at the Aanchor Health Center in Glen Ellyn. Abortions take place there two days a week. They were part of the national and international 40 Days for Life campaign in 247 cities in America and in eight other countries.
To date, 346 mothers have changed their minds and those 346 babies have been saved. People from all walks of life are taking part in this seventh 40 Days for Life campaign: Moms and little kids, priests and seminarians, old and young, from churches of all faiths, home-schooled children with their parents, post abortive women, people who were regulars and people for the first time.
At our local clinic they just kept coming. It was truly amazing. We want to thank each person who participated, for the gift of your time and your prayers. Ninety percent of life is just showing up.
There are people praying at this same clinic every Wednesday and Saturday from about 8 until 10 a.m. We are there to offer the young people hope and help before they do something they can never undo. Abortion is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. The CareNet crisis pregnancy center located right across the big parking lot from the abortion mill is there with free help for them. You are very welcome to come and join us in prayer support as we offer the face of love and compassion to these desperate young women.
