Your news Wheeling library welcomes singer

Heather Braoudakis will sing the songs that have been most requested at her many appearances around the world during a program at the Indian Trails Public Library, 355 S. Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19.

Songs will include “Sunrise Sunset,” “Embraceable You,” “Somewhere My Love,” “Stardust” and more.

Braoudakis, a member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus, has sung with the Grant Park Symphony Chorus and the Light Opera Works. She is currently performing throughout the Chicago area singing opera, classical music, musical theater and pop music.

She was a Silver Award winner at the 2003 April Spring Festival in Pyongyang, North Korea, and a semifinalist in the Tokyo International Vocal Competition.
