April 6 at Kauffman Stadium
Matt Thornton gets the call in the ninth with a 7-6 lead. He allows a game-tying double to Kila Ka’aihue. White Sox rally in 12th for 10-7 win.
April 8 at U.S. Cellular Field
Holding a 7-4 lead over Tampa Bay in the ninth, Thornton allows 5 unearned runs on 4 hits in the 9-7 loss.
April 11 at the Cell
It’s a 1-0 game in the ninth when Juan Pierre drops another flyball behind Thornton. Sox lose to A’s 2-1 in 10.
April 12 at the Cell
Leading 4-3 in the sixth, Tony Pena serves up a 2-run homer to Kevin Kouzmanoff. Yes, that counts as a blown save. White Sox bounce back for 6-5 win in 10.
April 13 at the Cell
Another 3-run lead in the ninth, this time 4-1. Thornton coughs it up again, allowing 3 runs and Sox lose 7-4 in 10.
