Stojak’s strikes lift Grayslake North

Grayslake North 3, CL Central 0: Maggie Stojak scored a pair of first-half goals, as the Knights won the Fox Valley Conference match.

Katie Lahera also knocked in a goal, while Kim Shurtliff, Chelsea Olson and Katie McGrath had assists.

Keeper Brooke Sauer made 8 saves in earning the shutout for Grayslake North (2-4, 1-2).

“Tonight was, by far, our best effort so far,” Knights coach Adam DeCaluwe said. “We truly took a lot of steps forward tonight. Our girls are better than they have looked up to this point, and they know it. The only struggle was showing it and putting together the total effort that it takes to beat teams at this level.”

Libertyville 4, Jacobs 0: Sam Marsh scored twice for the Wildcats.

Jessica Faber and Sydney Mudd also had goals for Libertyville. Kelsey Novak added 2 assists, and Valerie Van Roeyen and Elise Moderwell also assisted on goals.

Round Lake 3, North Chicago 1: The Panthers got goals from Evelyn Hernandez, Bianca Mahoney and Morgin Evans.
