The Kane County Cougars suffered their third straight defeat Wednesday afternoon, falling 2-1 loss against the Quad Cities River Bandits before 4,251 at Elfstrom Stadium in Geneva.
During their three-game homestand, the Cougars (2-5) have scored only 7 runs.
Cougars starter and losing pitcher Sugar Ray Marimon (0-1) had a no-hitter through 4 innings before allowing a pair of runs.
The Cougars’ Lane Adams contributed an RBI double in the seventh that drove home Brian Fletcher and cut the deficit to 2-1.
The Cougars had 4 hits, hit into a pair of double plays and had one runner picked off.
