Learn about Earth Day at Science Night

Daily Herald report

Join Elgin Public Museum for “Earth Day Family Science Night” from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 15.

Enjoy a night of experimentation and fun as you jump into the science of protecting the planet. Discover how the natural world heals itself — how you can take clues from wetlands and forests to make the Earth a better place.

Different stations will be set up around the museum for kids and their parents to conduct experiments, experience demonstrations and partake in discussions about ecology.

The museum is in Elgin’s Lords Park at 225 Grand Blvd. The program costs $2 per person, though museum members get in free.

No registration necessary, as Science Nights are drop-in programs.

For more information, call the museum at (847) 741-6655 or e-mail russell_epm@cityofelgin.org or visit the website elginpublicmuseum.org.
