Geneva nips No. 11 Neuqua Valley

Clare Stribling tripled in the go-ahead run, keying a 3-run Geneva seventh-inning rally, as the Vikings beat No. 11 Neuqua Valley 3-1 in Naperville. Neuqua (4-2, 2-2 Upstate Eight Conference), which lost for the second straight day in the last inning, had taken a 1-0 lead in the sixth. Jena Boudreau (3-2) struck out nine and went 2-for-3 at the plate for Neuqua. Winning pitcher Kelly McCaffrey allowed just 3 hits, striking out six, for Geneva (6-3, 2-1).
