Help the park district with its Spring Spruce-up
Community volunteers, friends and families are invited to help beautify their local parks when the Fox Valley Park District hosts its third annual Spring Spruce-up from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 16.
Volunteers will join park district staff at selected park sites and trails throughout the area to pick up litter, haul light brush and assist in the removal of invasive plant species. Volunteers will be placed in parks closest to their homes.
Parks scheduled for Spring Spruce-up, with crossroads, are:
Ÿ Blackberry Trail Park, Griffen Drive and William Drive, Montgomery;
Ÿ Eola Community Center grounds, 555 S. Eola Road, Aurora;
Ÿ Gilman Trail/Blackberry Farm, 100 S. Barnes Road, Aurora;
Ÿ Indian Trail Mini Park, Indian Trail and High Street, Aurora;
Ÿ Montgomery Park, River and Mill streets, Montgomery;
Ÿ North Aurora Island Park, State Street bridge, North Aurora;
Ÿ O’Donnell Park/Prairie Path, 1640 Reckinger Road, Aurora.
