Washington St. resurfacing work starts April 18

On Monday, April 18, work will begin to resurface Washington Street from Bluebird Lane to Ring Road.

The City of Naperville received a grant through the Federal Surface Transportation Program to fund 70 percent of the project cost.

During construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route to avoid delays.

The project is slated for completion in late May. Message boards will be in place along Washington Street to keep motorists up-to-date on the progress of the project.

As always, the city will take all steps necessary to minimize any inconvenience to residents, motorists, businesses and all others who utilize Washington Street.
