Alphabet soup not what framers wanted

Thomas Jefferson lamented in the Declaration of Independence, “He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.”

Unfortunately, we face the same situation today with the multitude of unconstitutional agencies foisted upon us.

We fought a long and bitter war to establish the right to self-government. The spirit of the American Revolution is summed up in the very first words of the constitution: “All legislative powers shall be vested in a congress.” Article 1, Section 1 says only congress can make law.

Today, we have nonelected and unaccountable government bureaucrats making law.

The regulations passed by these unconstitutional agencies are essentially law. If you do not comply with these regulations (laws) you get fined and thrown in jail. IRS, EPA and myriad other agents are not elected, and yet their regulations carry the weight of law and, therefore, are law.

If Congress wants to pass a law regarding taxes, the environment or any issue, let them. The next election is always less than two years away. If you agree with the law, vote them in for another term. If you disagree, elect someone different. That was the vision of our Founding Fathers and that is a just and equitable system.

The system we have today is tyrannical. There is no recourse. There is no voting out the EPA or any other government agency.

I am not opposed to protecting the environment or paying taxes. If it’s good law, Congress should have no fear enacting it.

The constitution guarantees every state a republican form of government. These unconstitutional government agencies have essentially circumvented republicanism: there is no representation and there is no getting rid of these parasites. If we are ever to return to greatness, the first step is abolishing all unconstitutional government agencies and limit all law making to an elected Congress.
