Arlington Heights man arrested after fight inside limousine

An argument in a limousine led to the arrest of an Arlington Heights man early Sunday morning.

Damien C. Wilson, 23, of the 300 block of East Seegers Road, was arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor battery, police reported.

Arlington Heights police said Wilson was one of several occupants of the limousine who had just finished a night of drinking. An argument occurred during the ride, and according to police, Wilson punched two people, a man and a woman.

Officers were dispatched about 6 a.m. to a business parking lot in the 2100 block of South Arlington Heights Road, where the limousine driver had pulled over because of the altercation.

When police arrived, the male victim declined to press charges but the female victim decided to file a complaint.

Police said the woman refused medical attention after suffering minor swelling and redness to the face.

Wilson’s bond amount and preliminary court date was not available Sunday.

The misdemeanor battery charge is punishable by a maximum of one year in jail or $2,500 fine.
