On fairness, beware the fine print
The latest move by the far-left Democrats to impose more of their “fairness” impediments on Americans is the Schakowsky “Fairness in Taxation Act” proposal. This move is a scam which purports to “ask those who can contribute more to do so.” Schakowsky’s tax increase proposals, again in her words, are “relatively modest” and appear to be lead-ins for bringing back the onerous confiscatory tax levels of earlier administrations.
Whenever a Washington, D.C., bureaucrat utters the word “fairness,” Americans should look at the fine print in the proposal and attempt to determine which of our remaining constitutional freedoms these bureaucrats are attempting to abridge or eliminate.
Rep. Schakowsky should spend more time “asking members of Congress who can contribute less to wasteful spending to do so.”
