Toddler killed in Rock Co. farm accident
BELOIT, Wis. — Sheriff's officials say a 3-year-old boy died after he was run over by a farm tractor.
Authorities say the boy was riding in the cab of the John Deere tractor with his father and 5-year-old brother. His father was plowing a field in Newark Township about 7 p.m. Thursday. Deputies say the tractor hit a bump, the boy grabbed the door handle next to him, the door opened and he fell out. The rear tractor tire ran over the child.
Emergency responders rushed the toddler to Mercy Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
