Man’s body found in Fabyan Forest Preserve
The Batavia Police Department is investigating the death of a 31-year-old man whose body was found in Fabyan Forest Preserve near Geneva Wednesday afternoon.
It is unclear who found the white man’s body, but police were called at 4:22 p.m., according to a police statement.
Batavia police released little information Wednesday but said the Kane County coroner’s office is working with them to determine the cause of death. The body was found in the area of 1500 Crissey Avenue, according to police.
The area is within the Kane County Forest Preserve police’s jurisdiction, but the case was handed over to the Batavia police. Geneva police initially responded to the 911 call, authorities said.
Batavia police refused to answer questions late Wednesday.
