Drunk passenger diverts flight to Chicago
DALLAS — An American Airlines flight from North Texas to Paris had to divert to Chicago because of an apparent intoxicated passenger.
Flight 48 left Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday and landed safely at Chicago's O'Hare Airport.
American spokesman Jim Faulkner says police in Chicago arrested the unruly passenger. The individual had been restrained by the crew.
Nobody was hurt. Faulkner says the jet was expected to continue on to Paris.
A message left with Fort Worth-based American was not immediately returned Thursday to The Associated Press.
