Willowbrook tops Metea Valley in ninth inning

Willowbrook (3-1) scored the winning run in the top of the ninth inning to win the nonconference game. Zac Venchus was the winning pitcher. Kenny Obendorf went 3-for-5 with a run and a RBI for Metea Valley (1-1).
Neuqua Valley 7, West Aurora 0:
Leadoff hitter Jack Amaro went 3-for-4 with 3 runs and 2 RBI for the Wildcats. Chris Medhurst was 2-for-2 with a triple.
Murphysboro 9, Glenbard South 3:
Senior Ryan Schlegel drove in 2 runs for Glenbard South (3-5). Zach Bava and Aaron Beese each went 2-for-3.
St. Charles East 9, Glenbard North 7:
Brandon Clark was 3-for-4 with 2 home runs and 4 RBI, but it wasn’t enough in the nonconference game. St. Charles East scored four times in the fifth inning to take the lead.
Benet 10, Waubonsie Valley 4:
Trailing 3-1, Benet scored 6 runs in the sixth inning and 3 more in the seventh for the nonconference victory.
Naperville Central 10, Lyons Twp. 1:
Dan Ludwig gave up two hits in six innings, striking out 10 and going without a walk for the Redhawks, who led 7-0 after two innings.
York 4, WW South 3:
Joe Paparone homered for York, which won the nonconference game on the road. Zach Jarosz went 2-for-4 for the Tigers.
Naperville North 5, Glenbard West 4:
Naperville North scored 4 runs in the bottom of the seventh to win on Connor Adamski’s two-out single. Dan Considine won in relief.
