Park candidate has valuable experience
Peter Nolan is the perfect choice to be Lombard’s next park district commissioner. To put things in simple terms, Pete means what he says and always follows through on his committments.
Recently, Pete was approached by some of the homeowners who have been affected by the flood problems near Terrace View Pond. In typical fashion, Pete has aggressively investigated the facts surrounding this problem and formulated a course of action.
As our park commissioner, I have no doubt that Pete will work cooperatively with the village board to enact a solution to this problem that has been devastating to far too many Lombardians. Pete has a long resume of volunteer service to the community. He serves as vice-president of the Lombard Chamber of Commerce and has also served three years on the Lombard Town Centre Economic and Community Development Committee.
I first met Pete several years ago when he was volunteering for the park district’s Lilac Mutt Strut 5K event. Pete was out before sunrise setting up tents on a very cold and rainy day to support a good cause, while others were at home in their beds. That’s vintage Pete Nolan.
Pete has a degree in health, physical education and recreation to go along with his years of experience owning and operating his own insurance agency. His education, volunteer experience and business acumen puts Pete ahead of the crowd in this race. Please join me in voting for him on Tuesday.
