Moose Lodge gives donation to Lombard police
The Lombard Moose Lodge and Lombard Women's Moose Lodge Chapters recently presented donations totaling $600 to the Lombard Police Department.
Lombard Police Chief Ray Byrne and Deputy Chief Pat Rollins accepted the donations on behalf of the Police Department. The donations have become an annual event for both Moose Lodge Chapters.
The Moose Lodges are committed to giving back something to the community that benefits all Lombard residents.
Byrne thanked the Moose Lodge membership for their generous donations.
“At a time when all levels of local government are struggling to balance budgets, donations such as these take on added significance,” said Byrne.
“I would really like the Lombard community to know that this is the sixth year that the Moose Lodges have made a donation like this to the Police Department,” Byrne added. “They are really a valuable and generous asset to the community.”
The board members of the Lombard Moose Lodge 2350 and Women's Chapter 1967 made the presentation to the Lombard Police Department during a brunch meeting on March 27.
