Park candidate is well-rounded

Kim Angland has been a major contributor to the village of Lombard as a member of many service organizations in Lombard. She has been active in the Tri-Town YMCA, and currently serving as the board secretary.

As a member of the Kiwanis Club of Lombard, she shows initiative in giving of herself as any opportunity arises. She serves on the Lombard Community Relations Committee and helps with the DuPage Sculpture and Art Show. Kim was the driving force in getting our community pool, Paradise Bay, to the construction phase. So many residents enjoy this water park, a Caribbean getaway within our own village boundaries.

Kim currently works at The Marketing Store in Lombard and chairs their community outreach committee. She is constantly engaging The Marketing Store in supporting many Lombard events and organizations.

In Kim’s tenure as an appointed park board member, she has shown herself to be the voice of the residents to the rest of the board and the staff. She is an independent thinker who wants to do the best to enhance our community by having our park district offer opportunities for all of our residents, from young children to our seniors.

Kim has shown to be a well-rounded individual committed to developing a wide variety of recreational activities, not singling out any particular area. I believe she would be an excellent choice for park commissioner and urge you to vote for Kim Angland at the April 5 election.
