Naperville’s Edward Hospital 15th-best in state rankings
Naperville’s Edward Hospital is 15th in the state a listing of the best metropolitan-area hospitals compiled by U.S. News & World Report.
Of 46 Chicago-area hospitals listed, the top three are in the city. They are, in order, Northwestern, University of Chicago and Rush University Medical Center. Edward and Provena-St. Joseph in Joliet are tied with several others at No. 15. Centegra Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock and Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan are among several ranked at No. 34.
Breadth of expertise is among factors considered in the rankings.
Two Illinois hospitals are among 53 ranked in the St. Louis metro area. Anderson Hospital in Maryville and Memorial Hospital in Belleville are tied at 12 on that list.
