Avoid knee-jerk reaction to nuclear crisis

Here we go again in America with the Chicken Little mentality of “the sky is falling.” We beat the drum of “sensationalism” for everything that's just outside the norm. The nuclear catastrophe in Japan is not the result of faulty design of the nuclear facilities — it's the result of the earthquake and tsunami! A calm, reasoned approach hopefully is being taken to determine what needs to be done to control the hazards and work out solutions.

The media just love to perpetuate the Chicken Little mentality that tends to have people apply knee-jerk solutions and wind up over compensating. I am not advocating a don't-worry attitude, but let's apply reason and calm.
