Woodland District 50 wants to share and save

Citing a need to maintain fiscal accountability, Woodland Elementary District 50 officials say they have developed an equipment-sharing agreement with surrounding school systems. The agreement will allow school districts to share resources that previously would have required rental or purchase, such as tractors, wood chippers and lifts. “The agreement was designed to limit or negate any liability for the lending or borrowing district,” said Donald Selzer, the district’s director of operations and facilities. District 50 board President Lawrence Gregorash said elected officials appreciate the administration and staff exploring creative ways to maximize available money by minimizing costs.
