Aurora man arrested on charges of seeking sex from an underage girl
A Cook County judge set bail at $100,000 for an Aurora man who Cook County Sheriff’s Police claim arranged to have sex with an underage girl he met online.
Joseph Pircon, of the 0-100 block of Densmore Drive, has been charged with indecent solicitation of a child, a class 4 felony punishable by one to three years in prison. Probation is also an option.
An undercover officer with the sheriff’s Child Exploitation Unit met Pircon in an online chat room in December, authorities said in a prepared statement. Posing as a 13-year-old girl, the officer chatted online with the defendant for several months, police said. During that time, police said, Pircon initiated graphic sexual talk and requested a meeting, telling the undercover officer that he wanted to give her a gift of lingerie.
Earlier this month, Pircon arranged to meet the officer at a Bridgeview fast food restaurant so they could engage in sexual activities, said police, who arrested Pircon at that time.
Authorities say their investigation revealed that the defendant regularly sought out underage girls online and reportedly sent graphic messages to an undercover officer pretending to be two different 14-year-old girls.
Pircon next appears in a Maywood courtroom on April 15.
