Grayslake Central edges Prairie Ridge
Grayslake Central’s Jordan Larson scored the game-winning goal from Alex Wilson in overtime to give the Rams’ girls soccer team the 1-0 win over Fox Valley Conference opponent Prairie Ridge on Wednesday.
The win improves the Rams’ record to 2-0.
Keeper Kat Dickson made 7 saves in notching her second shutout.
“The girls showed great heart and determination tonight to pull this off,” Rams coach Michael McCaulou said. “I thought we played a good first half and then got a little sluggish in the second, but the girls came through in the end.”
New Trier 3, Lake Zurich 1: Vanesa Abad made the unassisted goal for the Bears (0-2).
