Donate electronics, bicycles:

Representatives from the Lake County Farm Bureau and Grayslake Rotary plan to host a collection for used electronics and bicycles on Saturday, April 23. The collection point will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at farm bureau headquarters at 70 Route 45 in Grayslake just, north of Route 120. Officials asked that donors to refrain from arriving before 10 a.m. Among the electronics to be accepted are: Televisions except for models in wooden cabinets, all types and ages of computers, monitors, printers, gaming equipment, radios, digital cameras, stereos, telephones and automotive batteries. Bicycles must be in working condition to be accepted as a donation. They will be provided to Working Bikes, a primarily volunteer-driven organization. The group ships bicycles to the Gulf Coast, Ghana, Tanzania, Angola, Cuba, Guatemala and Peru.
